New Article: Jack Johnson calls Australia home
Posted On 05 Dec 2007

"The likable Jack Johnson may call Hawaii home, but his easy-going tunes have long been a hit Down Under and the feeling is mutual. Jack Johnson is eating his breakfast in London - nothing fancy, just a pastry washed down with coffee. Predictably, it's cold outside, although he's rugged up appropriately to deal with such temperatures. Still, something doesn't seem quite right. A cold, austere hotel in the midst of one of the world's greatest cities isn't the place you'd expect to be talking to the man who has made soft, mellow, acoustic music virtually his own."

New Article: Jack Johnson has Easter performance at Bowl
Posted On 27 Nov 2007

"The acoustic artist will be making his first Taranaki appearance on March 23 (Easter Saturday) at the TSB Bowl of Brooklands. Venture Taranaki events manager Garry Sharpe-Young says playing a concert is not the only thing Johnson will do while he is here. "We believe he's very keen for a surf before and after the concert," Mr Sharpe-Young says. He says the concert coincides with the annual national Masters surfing champs along Taranaki's coast. "It's likely Jack could catch some of the action and go for a few surfs of his own. Imagine paddling into a wave with Jack Johnson next to you." The 32-year-old singer/songwriter performed three years ago in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch."

Posted On 27 Nov 2007
By Kimberly
|
"The wait is finally over, this coming Tuesday 27th November - Jack Johnson is set to launch his first track ‘If I Had Eyes’ from his forthcoming 5th album ‘Sleep Through The Static’. On ‘If I Had Eyes,’ the electric riff gives a sharp edge to lyrics about the sad dissolution of a long-term relationship - ‘If I had eyes in the back of my head/ I would have told you you looked good as you walked away.’"
